About Rich Bramwell

H. Rich Bramwell, MAI (Rich) received his MAI designation in 1964 and served the appraisal profession for over 40 years. Rich was the founder and president of The Bramwell Company and co-founder of The Bramwell-Smith Company. He served the former American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers (Appraisal Institute) in a number of roles at the chapter level including president of the Northern California Chapter, and also served in several positions at the national level including chairman of the vice presidents.

Rich was not only an educator for the Appraisal Institute, but taught for the University of the Pacific in Stockton and University of California, Berkeley. He also served as president of the Stockton Board of Realtors and chairman of the San Joaquin County Planning Commission. Beyond the appraisal profession, Rich’s real estate background included brokerage, development, property management and counseling. Rich had a unique ability to perceive and solve real estate problems.
